We missed the shot of the huge setting sun just beyond the trees in the center of the photo.  This is still a nice one.

Two Hour Delay.

The county called for a two-hour delay today.  No overnight precipitation - there was light rain around dinnertime.  All roads looked clear except for this patch of ice on the curb at the orthodontist office.

St. Paul Cathedral.

There is no good place to get a photo of the entire building.  This was the best we could do - Jordan snapping photos out the window as we drove toward it.  The interior is beautiful.

A storm's coming in.

We were sure we'd get caught in a nasty storm.  However, it didn't even rain on us.  This was the sky over White Bear Lake as we left Grandpa John's house.

Another Mushroom Post.

Another grand mushroom standing in the neighbor's yard in the same place that the rest of them have appeared.  I think this makes the third in a series of neighbor's mushrooms.

Giant Mushrooms.

After every rain, these gargantuan mushrooms pop up in the neighbors yard.  I had to giggle as I watched Jordan photograph them this morning.  She was wearing a dress (for her last day of school) and still laid on the ground (don't forget - in the neighbors yard) to take several photos.

Why do kids do this?

Didn't they know I hadn't taken a picture of it yet?  This morning this was one of two very regal looking mushrooms peeking out of the grass.

Elmer's Glue Crew.

Our elementary school saves empty glue containers for recycling.  However, before they go to the collection site for recycling, they must be cleaned.  Jordan and Maddie have been scrubbing them for days.

Another service call.

It's very humid, temps are in the mid-80s and the upper level air conditioning unit is out.  Well, not anymore, thanks to Service Pros of Virginia.  I set up service for tomorrow, but they had a cancellation early this evening, so we have a comfortable home again tonight. 

Our pine trees

have these weird little growths.  Is this normal?
