Waiting for the Harvest.

Strawberry thief.

Not only do the squirrels get into our garden and steal the strawberries, but they also climb onto the ledge of the kitchen window so we can watch them eat the berries.

Just one night

I forgot to bring in the tomato plant.  I set it outside for water since it has had to be inside for the past several days. 

Composting.

Maddie and I composted the gardens.  The strawberries look very healthy already this spring.

Giant Mushrooms.

After every rain, these gargantuan mushrooms pop up in the neighbors yard.  I had to giggle as I watched Jordan photograph them this morning.  She was wearing a dress (for her last day of school) and still laid on the ground (don't forget - in the neighbors yard) to take several photos.

I found these in Harmony Park while I was waiting to photograph the fifth grade students for their "graduation" DVD.

I couldn't pass up these beautiful sunflowers for sale at the elementary school EcoFest last Friday.

Still More Spring Blooms.

Another unusual flowering shrub.  This one is at the playground.

Bumper Crop.

I think we'll have a great crop this year.  I'll just have to make sure I get the bird netting on them soon.
