A little light reading.  I just can't seem to get enough information about the relationship between the foods we eat and our health.  After reading many of these books it's easy to see why more than half of the population is overweight.

Just one night

I forgot to bring in the tomato plant.  I set it outside for water since it has had to be inside for the past several days.

are the evergreens.  I am so looking forward to spring and summer.  It seems like this winter will never end.

I drive by this marshy area everyday before school and sometimes again after school. Although it's hidden behind some shrubs, it is visible from the road.  I just noticed it today and thought it may make a good shot for my landscape photo needed for my photography class homework.

This one will fulfill my portrait shot for my homework this week.  I wish I could get a shot this nice of Belle but she is all black and I need some exceptional lighting to make her photo look good.

Another year.

My girls are wonderful.  Jordan made dinner and Maddie made desert.  They each hand made a card for me and they each brought home from school a card signed by all of their friends.  I will always treasure the hand made cards and those with thoughtful notes written inside.

New foods.

Since the girls and I are leaning into veganism, I pick out a few new foods each time I go to Whole Foods.  Today we had our first passion fruit.  I thought it was delicious while Jordan thought it was a little too tart.  Maddie didn't even try it after seeing the snotty-fish-egg-looking fruit.   Maybe I didn't let it ripen enough - we'll certainly buy more of these!

This wooden structure sits in the library at the high school.  I've been wanting to photograph him for a while now.  I finally remembered to get a few shots of him this afternoon.

Composting.

Maddie and I composted the gardens.  The strawberries look very healthy already this spring.

She's a trooper!

Always ready and willing to go and do whatever needed whenever necessary.  Today it was picking up the recycling from the high school and delivering it to the fire department collection dumpsters.

Maddie wanted to take some photos so I gave her my DSLR (after setting white balance and ISO) and sent her off.  Here is one of several great pictures she came back to show me.  She has a great eye at the ripe old age of 12.
